Just arrived from vacation and Im reading that 🙁 so sorry for your lost. I think that stricture of the oesophagus is way underseen so goes undiagnotics. Novak got a stricture of the oesophagus(we think) its cause by the anesthesia and meds during surgery. Acid reflux goes into the oesophagus and burns it and then worse case scenario, it does a stricture(narrow the passage of food) so the dog cant swallow, regurgitate, wont eat, etc... I dont know if it was the case with your dog, but it sure seem like it could be. I know that post surgery vomiting can be normal, but I wont never take that in a relax way, stomach coating + acid reflux meds, even more with the intake of anti inflammatory that can cause ulcer. Im learning the hard way with my dog of that nasty side effect and I want everyone to know about it and to be more carefull with vomiting after surgery. Even the vets dont really see that problem, its rare, but it exist.
Im gonna go read your blog to see what happen. Im really sorry and sad for your lost 🙁
Glad you did post here about Novak. It's a topic that new people will pull up from time to time. Novak...and Angel Max...have ccontributed greatly to ensure everyone is aware of this situation.
