Our Mona (GoldenDoodle) became a tripawd on January 26. Â She's 8 years old and lost here front right (OSC).
Anyone have any experience with physical therapy help? Â I know there are a lot of recommended excersises on this site, but wondering if there is an advantage to working with professionals. Â I think we need to get about 10-15 pounds off Mona and work on her core strength. Â Any experience you can share would be appreciated.

Yes! We always recommend consulting with a certified rehab vet/tech (CCRP or CCRT). Search all blogs here to find plenty of success stories, or use the Advanced Search above to refine forum search results.
That is why the Tripawds Foundation established the Maggie Moo Fund for Tripawd Rehab, which will reimburse members for their first professional consultation. You might also consider downloading Loving Life On Three Legs for lots of professional tips, how-to videos and direct links to helpful posts.
Thanks for asking. Your future forum posts will not require moderation.

Absolutely recommended!! And yes, please do look into the Maggie Moo Fund for Tripawd Rehab link! I did and my Barkley had his consultation fee covered. 🙂 I'm SinitO grateful! The knowledge you will get from a hands-on consultation is so valuable. They will show you things to do for Mona (SOOO adorable, btw!) at home as well.Â
You can read about our experience with our consultation here: http://tripawds.....on-at-care
I hope that link works! 🙂 Wishing you and Mona all the best with recovery and a happy life ahead!
