One question - has anyone used the herbal therapy -Artemisinin . There is a topic about this subject and done some research on internet. Will consult vet on Friday.

Wonderful news.
Mistletoe has had the poo of the century. 2 bags and 2 hands. !!!
Visited the vet today and stitches are out. The're very happy with her progress. Spoke about the chinese herbal therapy (Artemisinin ) and I've to go ahead (to watch out for sickness and diarrhea) . Still looking for dosage, etc.
Going to leave her medication over the weekend, have got Tramidol down to 1 mid day. What do they say ? "Rome wasn't built in a day".
We've been trying to put pic's on. But, really hopeless with techno stuff. Where's a 7 year old when you need them. lol
Hopefully have picture on our next up-date.
Fiona, Mistletoe and Jim out side. x
YAAAAAAAAAY FOR MASSIVE POOP PILES!
Sounds like MISTLETOE is doing really well...and it's still early in the recovery!!!
I ended up keeping my Happy Hannah on some Tramadol into the third week. Every dog is different....some need pain meds @o ger...some don't.
You can try this link and see if it helps with the photos. You have to put them in something like Photobucket first. I'll be watching for them!! http://tripawds.....-photos-1/
Lots of hugs to all!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
Hi all, another corner turned, Mistletoe is on her second day on half the dosage of Tramadol. What a difference in her, more alert and NO MORE HAND FEEDING. She managed a small amount of chicken livers all by herself. Still drinking plenty.
Still having trouble putting pic's up. However my 24 yr old son has added a links, please have a look at our beautiful three legged baby. Will keep trying with the photo bucket. !!

Oh, LOVELY! Right now I'm in Norfolk. At the moment I'm sort of moving back and forth between here and London.

Oh goodness, no probs at all! It took me a few attempts the first time I did it, but I post an embarrassing number of pics, so it's pretty much automatic now
