Hi everyone,
So oscar is now 3 weeks post op and about 2 weeks in we thought we were over the worst, stitches out and we managed to get him upstairs and back to his usual spot and he slept through the night..RESULT!
Well that was a one off, since then he has woken every night at around 2am panting really heavily for hours I don't know how to help him. He is not warm, I have all windows open and it's below freezing outside. I don't think he should be in pain, he is off tramadol and just on metecam once a day and the vet says that can stop soon. I take him out on the garden and he is happy for 5 mins and still drinking maaaaasive bowls of water all at once.
It's almost like he is having a panic attack and is winding himself up more and more and I just don't know how to help him.
Anybody else experienced this? I was wondering if anyone had any advice?
Oscar is a big pooch he is wolfhound cross so it's quite difficult to soothe him unless I get him on the bed and spoon him but then he does get hot...
Any advice welcomed!
Thank you 🐕🐶
Hey guys, I think you duplicated this post elsewhere? If so I gave you some suggestions there. If not and I'm crazy and you haven't shared this, let me know.
