I've posted bedore, and it may sound crazy, but I actually think Happy Hannah's first chemo made her feel better!! Yeah, really! I delayed it until three weeks as she just wasn't getting her sparkle back. After her chemo, she slept really well and it just seemed to be a real turning point!
Looking forward ro your update. THOROUGHLY ENJOYING THESE PHOTOS....MORE....MORE!!!!
Hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Gorgeous boy! Positive thoughts headed your way for the new regimen.
Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Here is some inspiration for you to beat those lung mets. Good luck tomorrow!
The background on the video: a young pup named Abby was up against lung mets a few years ago, her mom called them 'mints' and named them Boris and Natasha.
Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

First new treatment over. I couldn't go with him today so my husband took him, really didn't like not being there for him
My husband saw the chest x-rays (the computer wasn't working properly on Friday so I didn't get to see them) and said that one met was the size of a small pea and the other slightly larger. This means nothing to me, can anyone spread any light on whether this is normal please (if anything is normal on this journey!!)?
Storm is BEAUTIFUL! I can't answer your question about mets, just want to let you know we're thinking of you and sending pawsitive vibes your way.

paula and nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"
"Be good, mama loves you".....run free my beautiful Warrior
I love Karen's video! Thanks for sharing that.
Glad he got the treatment over. Don't worry about not being there that day. Sometimes it's better if the worried mammas aren't there, guys have a way of handling those situations with less emotion than we do.
As for the mets...well they don't sound big but not knowing the exact size I can't say. I will say that dogs can live with mets for a long time, as long as the mets don't grow so large they interfere with breathing. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Our Jerry had 17 great months with mets before they started bothering him and many other dogs have too. Check out Reno's story.

Thanks for your support and lovely comments about my boy - I think that he is beautiful too. I love the video.
Thanks for the link Jerry, I'm definitely going to speak to the onco about metronomics for when Storm has finished the Doxoribicin (5 treatments) high is the treatment hat Reno was on. The onco today apparently suggested chest x-Ray's in a month so that if there was any growth we stopped the treatment to save money. My husband soon let her know that money will not dictate his treatment - Storm will - and we will stick with an x-Ray before the fourth treatment and will base our decision purely on how Storm is health wise. He hasn't finished living so we won't stop helping him live life to the full.
