I love the picture of Rock surrounded by his toys looking straight at the camera - he looks llike one happy pup. It seems so unfair that he didn't get more time when everything seemed to be going well- I'm sorry this came so soon for him. I can't imagine how hard it is for you right now, but I hope you know you gave him the best chance at beating this and the best possible days after the battle was lost. I also hope that knowledge makes these dark days less so for you, even though I know they aren't going to be easy.
Oh, Charles, I"m so sorry to see this sad news. It is so obvious from the pictures that you and Rock had a great love for each other. And a life with a loved one is the best that any dog can hope for. Our pain begins when theirs ends. Hang in there and know that we all mourn his loss with you. Unfortunately, we know how hard this time is.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Charles, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know 13 is a grand old age, but geeze, that just doesn't make it a bit easier. I so love the photos. It is apparent how much love you shared.
May your healing be swift and the special memories be abundant.

Thank you everyone , your words are so kind and i know many of you have felt my pain. I have had rock cremated today and saw him for the last time . i recieved his ashes 3 hours later ;I can honestly say he looked so peaceful and i know hes in heaven running in the fields . But my hart is far to broken to be mended ..ive read on here how many ppl have had there pups taken from them very early and i know i thank god for the long life rock has lived .But i cry for the fact i dont know when i will see him again or ever! i believe in god but i dont know . my sister was walking her dog yesterday and looked up in the sky and say something and took a pic showed me and i instantly thought it might have been rock looking down . it resembled what i feel is a face and a paw print on the bottom right of the face which is the paw rock had left. check it out
WOW! I can totally see that doggie in the sky.
Fear not Charles, I know that Rock will leave you all kinds of signs like this. Open your heart to the possibilities and you will soon understand that he is never far from you. This poem can help.
