Lookin' good Rock! I love the shirt you're wearing. This is great news that you are handling chemo so well. I knew you could do it!

Did you ever get a chance to ask your vet about their preference for the # of treatments?

Michele, thanks for sharing your story here, I know it's helpful for others. Be sure (if you haven't already, I just got on the Forums), to start a new topic about Cadence so we can all get to know you two. Funny, we've got another Cadence here and she's totally opposite of yours...she's a giant white poodle! Can't wait to hear more about yours.

michele thanks  for your imput ..  as far as cadance  goes im sorry to hear this but rest assure  amputation IMO is the best thing in this situation.Their life is changed forever but  NO PAIN ! rock is back to himself just apearance has changed we have been taking him to the park  for bbq's every weekend since . I still cant bare the thought of him getting old and knowing one day he leave us but  i will give him the best  time he has left . i have always hoped i would go before any of my pets but god does things for reasons which we dont know ,now im not god but i can give my pets the best and will do so to the end. This site i can not discribe in words how thankful  i am to have found it ..

jerry i did ask him  he said he consulted with the oncologist and that she said theres no sign it spread ( nodes where clear so 4 treatments should be a safe amount  for him

Awww, we're glad you found us too! Every story makes a difference and helps someone else here. Thanks so much.

Glad to hear your vet is consulting with an oncologist. Paws crossed that the rest of the treatments will be a breeze.

Rock looks terrific!!! Thanks for posting the recent video, it is so great to see our tripaw pups adapt so quickly. I look forward to hearing more about your new life together.

Samdog was a 10 yr old Golden and retired SAR dog. We found a bone mass on 8/17/12, needle biopsy showed sarcoma 8/22/12, amputation on 8/23/12, post-amp biopsy confirmed osteosarcoma on 8/28/12. Sadly, we found lung mets on 11/27/12 and my Spirit Sam earned his wings on 12/2/12.

We didn't know where we were headed and we don't regret a single step along our path. It all happened too fast, but he left a legacy of love that we will always cherish. Good bye my heart.

Hooray Rock! Great news that he's almost done with the chemo and doing well. Sending good thoughts for when he's due for the xray!

Fingers crossed for all good news!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Hank was not himself for a little over the first week. He's starting to perk up. He pooped only twice in the first 10 days but it seems more regular now.

I bet your little man will perk up too.

I was just thinking of Rock the other day.  I hadn't seen you post anything and I started to get a bit worried.  I am so happy for you and Rock.  He is kicking butt.........  Keep us updated and I am so happy for you and Rock.
