Michelle- thanks for your kind words of encouragement. I want you to know that you and your lovely Sophie are in my thoughts. The 8 day mark was still a really tough time for us. It probably took a full 3 weeks for Atticus to really start acting like the dog I had before, and for my guilt to start easing up. Up until that point, I thought I had made a terrible mistake. Now he is completely pain-free and is enjoying things we couldn’t do before surgery, like playing at the dog park and running along the beach. It sounds like your Sophie is well on the way to getting there too!
The lessons you are learning from Atticus, the self awareness he has brought you, just reinforces dogs are our teachers when it comes to Soul's growth.
And Atticus has a very special Guardian Angel (your Dad) watching over him now, and watching over you too.♥️
Sending you some extra (((((((((hugs)))))))
