Kali's about 16 days post amp .. she seemed like she had more energy right after her surgery but with the tumor that they found in her right front leg .. I think it's making her weaker? She's been off her pain meds for a little more than 3 days but yesterday we had to call her vet for some more because she started whimpering whenever she was getting up or laying down .. they gave her tramadol but I think rimadyl worked better since it's also an anti-inflammatory? & they won't be back in the office till monday.
Also, I just noticed that her nose is looking more dry than usual. It's cracking up a lot more and one part looks like it's cut & has a little blood underneath. Has anyone experienced this? I would hate to have to bring her in to a pet emergency clinic because they don't know Kali's history like her specialist does ...
I just feel like something's wrong.
I am lucky that Sammy is working with Dr. Pam. She is listed here as Tazziedog.
I would pm her if I were you. I don't know the situation, but maybe she is dehydrated? It might help to put some salve like vasaline on her nose..
I don't know. I am sorry. I hate that feeling, thinking that something is wrong and not being able to get immediate help. Maybe others will have a better grip on this.
Good luck and let us know how she is doing.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
I'm not sure, but would a dry nose indicate she is not drinking enough water? I seems like a majority of us seem to see a let down after they get home. Did they leave the tumor in the right leg or take it off, if they took it I'm sure that leg is sore also. Can you take her temp, does she have a fever? Depending on how much Tramadol you were giving Kali, I wonder if she is having a little withdrawl from taking her off, I've heard that can be an issue but not sure how long they need to be on it to affect them like that. I think my first concern would be is she getting enough fluids right now, along with eating food, they usually say feed them when you give them their meds. Hope this gives you a couple ideas to consider, Good luck, this is the part where we wish they could talk, Paws up, spirit Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
I'm so sorry about Kali.
Do you think it's blood from the exterior of her nose or a nose bleed? Have you checked her gums and tongue to see if they are still pink? When you run your finger over her gums do that seem sticky?
Send a PM Dr. Pam. But if Kali doesn't eat, then take her to the ER clinic.
Let us know when you can.

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
