Today has been normal. Breakfast, supplements and dinner all eaten. Rehab exercises completed for the most part with the exception of sit to stand which I'm not sure is going to work out the way it's supposed to. Is that really meant to be a front limb amputee exercise? I had to do it with her after her ACL surgery....and she did fine with it.
Normal is really pawesome news! She is really doing great.
What I've found with rehab exercises is that some will need to be adapted to the Tripawd's leg configuration and fitness level. Sit to stand for a front legger would be very challenging. I'm sure that a canine rehab therapist can show you a way to adapt it to her abilities, so it's something to consider.
Super happy she's doing so well!

Well someone decided to be a daredevil today....
I let Mojo out on the deck around lunchtime and after about 10 min I thought that I should bring her in as the trek was prolly getting a bit warm for her (it was warm on my feet barefoot after a few minutes). I also didn't block of the stairs since I was working from the kitchen and figured I'd just keep an eye on her. So I turn the corner and don't see her laying where she was, looked to the other end of the deck, not there either. I step out onto the deck and low and behold. Mojo is halfway down these:
Of course I "yell" at her to stop and that I was coming to help. She took another step down the next one, slipping her back leg out. Regained her balance and then she was either two or three steps from the bottom and she leapt off landing on all three and looking at me wagging her tail. She then proceeded to take a few hops to pee. She spent the rest of the afternoon out back sunning and shading and I blocked off the steps so she couldn't venture back up. I was really worried that she may have hurt herself but she seems to be doing okay/un-phased and is now resting.
Oh Mojo!! You sure know how to keep your hoomans on their toes!! I can only imagine how proud Mojo felt about her "return to normal"😎 She's showing you she is ready to return to her normal routines and clearly is determined to do so!!!
Her confidence is back...and now you can mirror her confidence and know that all is well👍
Thanks so much for sharing this great milestone. Can't stop grinning 😁
Hugs

Two week post chemo #1 CBC test today...showed that she has low white blood cell count and low platelets. Both, they ensured me are normal side effects of chemotherapy. Mojo came up with an Rx antibiotic (Clavamox) to prevent any infection while her bone marrow rebounds. They will decrease her next dose of Carboplatin which she'll get on April 30.
They said her leg wound was looking fantastic and all closed up so out came those three annoying staples.
No rehab exercises today as she basically came running out of SouthPaws and is a lil pooped.
Yeah, it's pretty common for a low WBC and a precaution before proceeding with the next round. 4/30 isn't too far away, she's gonna rock it!

So this week and next week we are supposed to be working on stair climbing. Question is how many stairs should we do?? The Dr in the video is using a 4-legged dog and the instructions say 10 rotations on a flight of stairs 3 times a day. We have three steps from the house to the garage, three steps from the front door to walkway (that aren't equal height) or eight trek steps for the deck. Should use the deck steps but cut it to 5 rotations 3 times a day? Curious if anyone else performed this Rehab exercise program.

Well, I will answer my own question. We first tried out the deck steps and she got up one but wasn't feeling it because of the slickness. So we moved to the front steps and did 10 rotations. I kept a hold of her harness just in case will hubby held the cookie out for her to come get. Once she went up or down the stairs she even sat before getting the cookie.
