Hi Luke,
How is your pup doing? I haven't found your blog if you started one, what is your pup's name and story?
It sounds like you've had some different experiences and different procedures done to fight your battle. It would be really cool to hear your story.

I agree. I see lots of your posts, which are one liner questions about treatment/supplements/etc. I would love to know more about Simon.

Hi Simon and Luke 🐾
I have not used cyber knife but Eurydice's oncologist in Portugal has used it to try and tackle lung mets.
He says it is a very, very difficult place to work on but worth a try.
I have to say once we pass the initial "carboplatin treatment" phase (which is well studied and widely used) and as we progress, we move more towards the unknown and into a not-so-proven territory.
All we can do is the best we can.
There will always be oncologists with different opinions, advice and experiences (sometimes contradictory opinions) so, in my experience, I, like you, was very interested in hearing the most I could from the most varied sources and then took my decisions which were largely based on what I "felt" was better for Eurydice.
Hugs and cuddles, 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
