Dickens was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on March 27, 2009; he had his right front leg amputated on April 6, 2009. He then had six doses of chemotherapy, three weeks apart–alternating adriamycin and carboplatin. He just started this morning a(Wednesday, August 26) a modified Metronomic Protocol, Cytoxan 8 mg and Piroxicam 10 mg every other day and Famotidine 20 mg every day. Has anyone in this forum done Artemesinin along with the Metronomic Protocol? Has there been any problems (stomach or otherwise?). Thanks in advance for your advice and support.

We did artemisinin along with metronomics for our Mastiff Tazzie. We had to stop the Cytoxan after 6 weeks due to a bad bladder infection but we are still doing the meloxicam and the artemisinin . She has had no stomach problems and eats well.

Welcome Jane, thanks for joining!
We never tried Artemisinin with Jerry, but if you haven't already read our blog post with complete details about his metronomic chemotherapy treatrment, be sure to check that out. You may also find advice from others within these Tripawd Forums search results for artemisinin.
