Hi everyone. It's been a lllloooonngggg time since I've posted. Unfortunately, cancer has touched another member of my family: my brother is in the end stages of pancreatic cancer, so things here have been difficult. However, I do have a happy update. Max went in for his two month checkup, and came back crystal clear! He is currently on his 14th week of metronomics , and our oncologist feels everything is going so well, he doesn't want to make any changes at this time. In three months we are going to discuss whether or not Palladia may be of benefit to Max; however there have been some serious side affects from its use, so our doctor is going to do some more research before making a final decision. In the meantime, we are just happy that Max is happy and healthy.
We took a trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea back in May for our 10th wedding anniversary. We took Max and Linda and celebrated as a family. (And if I ever get around to it, I'll actually post some of the 1 million photos we took!!) We had the best time ever, and we plan on going back in either September or October. It has to be the most dog-friendliest place on Earth. If you have the time and some extra money, I HIGHLY suggest everyone make a trip there. You won't be disappointed.
In the meantime, our best wishes to everyone fighting this battle. Eventually, I believe cancer will be something we only read about in history books. For now, unfortunately, it's a reality. Love you all, keep your chins up, and keep fighting!!!!

I am so sorry about your brother. Cancer is such a horrible thing. I hope that you are right and that someday it will go the way of polio and smallpox. I am happy that Max had a good check up and that you had a great trip! Debra
