Hi everybody -
First off, I would like to say how much I appreciate this website and forum. Without it, I don't believe my beautiful Mara would be here today. She is 11 days post-op. She had her staples out yesterday. She is doing wonderful!!! She has a little knot in her neck from accommodating her new way to move, but we are doing cold laser treatments, massage, and warm packing. Otherwise, her lack of leg does not slow her down. She starts chemo in a few days.
Here are some pictures - I'm not sure if links will work for everybody.
Yesterday - wearing a greyhound coat because negative degrees here:

Aww it's your birthday? Well happy birthday Beth!
She looks wonderful. We're so glad that you found this community helpful. All members contribute to make this place so helpful and comforting, and when it comes to big dogs it's especially wonderful to see them here sharing their experiences because until recently, most vets would say "never!" when amputation was discussed for a giant breed. Mara is helping to shatter the myth!
I got "content unavailable" for all pics but this adorable one. In the future all you need to do is right click on the photo w/in FB, select "copy image URL" then return here to write a forum post, choose the "Tree" icon in your editing toolbar and paste the URL in the pop-up box. We'd sure love to see more!
