Montana has been doing great since her amputation over a year ago, but recently she seems more tired and appears to have more labored breathing, we are going to schedule a xray of for her lungs. Are these signs and symptoms of lung mets or are we overreacting and she just acting as an old dog.
Concerned Dog Parent Torsten
Torsten, it's great to hear from you but I'm sorry Montana is slowing down.
I hate to say it but anything is possible. Labored breathing is definitely a sign there are mets. Or, as we found out in the Utah desert with Jerry, it could just be that the hot weather is getting to her more. I hope it's just that.
Keep us posted and put some pics of her up when you can, we miss her! (oh and you too, but you know, it's all about the dogs here! 😉

Sorry to hear about Montana not doing as well. But like Jerry said - it can be possible but I wouldn't even go down that mental road until you know for sure. It could be allergies, it could heat or just anything.
You've been blessed with over a year...take a breath and keep super duper pawsitive!
Wishing for very good news!

All paws and fingers at our house crossed for you. It is almost impossible not to wonder what the cause is and to jump to conclusions. Just wait until Monday to see what the vet says. All may be just fine.

I just wanted to let you know, I too, will be thinking about you on Monday. What a wonderful blessing to have Montana for over a year. My prayer is that the laboured breathing is from the heat and you will have many, many more celebrations together.
