I'm glad to hear that Kara's settling in with her pack! She seems to know that she needs rest for a good recovery. I hope you're getting some sleep as well! Keep us updated!

I loved life as a tripawd for over three years following right forelimb amputation due to an aggressive and recurrent hemangiopericytoma. I reclaimed my place among the gods and valkyries in Valhalla on November 11th, 2020. My parents miss me tremendously, but I know they'll keep me in their hearts forever... and don't worry, I've approved my mom's use of my Tripawds account.
Glad to hear she is home and the pack is doing well together. I think keeping things as normal as possible is best for healing.
I originally kept Tripug Maggie and her little sister apart after surgery but neither of them seemed happy with that arrangement. With the exception of a tussle when I first re-introduced them (little sis wanted the alpha position) they were fine together.

I’m still waiting on her crash. So far she is happy, appears pain free and hoping anywhere she wants to go. Milking the people food for all it’s worth because she never gets scraps. The bottom of her incision is turning all colors of purple, but I expected that. Just wanted to give a quick update.
Scraps are the yummiest foods ever for pups!! 🙂 Isn't it fun spoiling tripawds?!
And Kara may not even have the "crash". Every dog's recovery is sifferent, that's for sure! And yeah, my Happy Hannah's bruising got really colorful duri g the first several days plus.
Thanks for the update!
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Super great update, thanks for sharing.
As Sally mentioned, not all dogs will slow down, so hopefully she will not. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best we always say!
