Ditto everyone!! And loving looking at pictures of his handsome self!!😎
Jak's on a lot of good pain meds, so no worries about wobbly legs or not being mobile yet. Yoi'll see a difference when the patch is off and out of his system. Don't know how much Trazodone he is on. but that will definitely zonk him out. And even the Gabapentin can cause a sedation effect in some dogs.
Of course with your Vet's guidance, after the patch is off, maybe the Trazedone can be eliminated too, or only used intermittently. As everyone said though, rest and having is pain properly managed are really good right now .
Jak will get more and more steady on his feet on his own timeframe. Oh yes he will! That sparkle will be back before you know it!

He's moving! I'm so proud of him. Just a few days ago I was in a bit of a panic and searching all the threads on here to get some kind of "timeline", scared that he wasn't making progress....then like magic, in the past few days he has been hopping around unassisted. I know he has a long way to go in rebuilding his strength but I'm so proud of this guy. Oh wait, I said that already 😛
Tomorrow will be 10 days, so he'll go in to see the original vet to have the stitches removed. From there, I'm planning on moving to a local VCA that is AAHA-certified.
YES!!!!! Let me say it too, IM SO PROUD!!!! You've got this buddy!
Thank you so much for this beautiful video. Hes come such a long way from that first night. You should both be very proud!
Lots of hugs and love for that beautiful boy!

My sweet soulmate Roane was diagnosed with osteo in June of 2019. Had a rear leg amp on July 2nd & crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her sister Gypsy on the first day of Autumn Sept 23 2019.
YEESSSS! Did you hear my clapping and cheering! WHEEEE!!!! Oh my dog I just want to take him and kiss his adorable snout and smooch him all over! Thank you for this update, I've added it to our "Tripawd Movies Before and After Surgery" and our YouTube playlist. It's SUPER inspawrational!
I’m planning on moving to a local VCA that is AAHA-certified.
This also made our day, what great news! Monday 7/22 is #AAHADay, watch Tripawds News for a special feature on Monday and Tuesday about AAHA-accredited clinics.
