Dexter has an enlarged prescapula lymph node as you know from last post. Antibiotics havent touched it. My holistic vet said he has never seen os traval to lymph nodes but we know it can. The vet suggested needle biopsy but this will cost my dilemma is if it is the cancer
we proberbly wont want to put Dexter through another op if its going to make him ill or risky and the vet said if its travelled to lymph its in the lungs. Therefore what is the point of a biopsy? We are not doing chemo either just holitic. Any advice please. If I thought removing the node would help him I would but it seems too risky an op?

Help!!x

Aww I'm so sorry! I know this is tough. Well a needle biopsy will bring you peace of mind because you'll know what you are dealing with, whether it's cancer or something else like a non-cancerous growth (I hope that's what it is!). Has a lung x-ray been taken yet or did the vet suggest doing that after the biopsy?

Yes your right, may consider just the biopsy then. Dexter hasn't had a chest xray since November when he was diagnosed, in a way i'd rather not know I know that sounds like im in denial but im not I just want to enjoy him whilst he is active. Its horrible as without the node coming up he was symptom free:/

Not doing x-rays isn't denial at all, we didn't do them either for 17 months post amp. We felt exactly the same way.

Hang in there, the node could be nothing at all and you'll wonder why you were so worried in the first place. We have our paws crossed for good news!

The node seems to have doubled in size over the last two days and now we can visable see it:( Ringing vet tomorrow about advice. If the biopsy showed its the cancer do we have any options we proberbly wouldnt do surgery if its a big op etc is it worth doing if this is the case because the incrrase in size is worrying mex

Oh I'm so sorry. How is Dexter doing with all this?

Please let us know what the vet advises, I know this is scary. Paws & fingers crossed that this gets figured out asap.

Dexter is a ROCK STAR. He can overcome whatever hurdle this is. We're sending you lots of love and hugs and hoping for some good news at the vet clinic. Please keep us posted on how things are going.
