Any help would be nice. I can’t move him without him screaming in pain. At this point I just put pads under him. I don’t want to cause more pain.

Hi Nathaniel, I'm so glad you posted. Your future posts won't need to wait for approval so post away. How is your dog doing today?

As I mentioned on IG, try the DIY dog sling if your vet didn't give you one.

What kind of pain medication did he come home with? What kind, how much, and how often?

If he's super doped up it may be that he's just feeling sooo wonky and confused that everything is kinda scary. Don't panic, that's not unusual and in a few days he will be more acclimated.

Tell us more about your dog so that we can help you better. Why the amputation?

Update when you can, okay?  We know you have your hands full probably  are sleep deprived too.

It sounds like your pup is jist a few days out of surgery? The early part of recovery  is nompicnic at first.  Thankfully it doesn't  last furever.  When you can fill in some of the answers with Jerry's questions  we'll ba able to support you better.

We'll look forward to an update.
