Honey's arrhythmia is under control and she's coming home tomorrow! It was a hard week. She couldn't leave her cage for 4 days with an elevated heart rate but after 4 different medications, its back to normal. Her wound is healing well and soon she'll be back to doing doggy things. We're so happy.
Thank you Tripawds for all the support!

Alice and Honey,
All we really can say at a time like this is YEA!!!! I know that I really liked getting back to "normal" but it did take a while for me to get everything working properly. Just take your time and build back into things. The fun will return. Time for celebration.

Hi Jerry,
I finally have the names of the medications that helped Honey's arrhythmia - I'm in Canada posting for my family in California!
She's taking Mexiletine and Sotalol. Thankfully, her arrhythima is still under control but she has to keep taking medication - not sure how long.
She's very slow but she's just at the 2 week mark of her surgery. She's also turning her nose at the food she used to inhale. They spoiled her at the vet with yummy chicken!!

Hey thanks for getting the names of the meds, I'm sure someone will be helped by them someday when searching for them here.
As for her appetite.....well, that's kinda to be expected considering. Many dogs will turn their noses up at kibble after but usually it doesn't last forever. Feel free to keep spoiling her though, real food is just downright tastier!
