Today is a special day, I am celebrating Henri's 3 month ampuversary on my B-day! : )
I was unable to post a blog so I thought I would write here. We are overdue!
Henri has been getting swim therapy which seems to be helping his arthritis, and we have also done Acupuncture! He loves all the attention!
We are just enjoying each day and appreciating it as a gift!
I can tell Henri is slowing down, a ton! He is tired~
So we will keep going until he lets me know it is time!
Everyone tells me he looks great! I know his tummy has been bothering him,,,,we had a few episodes over the last week so I called the Vet. I think it may be the Piroxicam....pretty tough on the tummy so we are taking Pepcid AC.
He is not able to make it upstairs anymore...or so I thought! I woke up to a wonderful B-day surprise. Henri had climbed up the stairs to be close to mommy! 
He slept in his favorite spot ( in the bathroom ) attached to mommy's room!
We leave for the beach this Saturday and I did not think 3 months ago that it was possible for Henri to make the trip! I feel so blessed! God has given me such a special gift with Henri's love and I will treasure it each and every day!

Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Hooray for Henri! Here's to many more hoppy ampuversaries. You have our best wishes that Henri's "slowing down" is just his way of telling you he needs more couch time and treats. Take it easy and keep loving life! Thanks for the update.

Awe, that is a wonderful 3 month Ampuversary update. Henri (and you) seem to be adjusting just wonderfully. Don't worry that it seems he is slowing down, Trouble seems that way also, but she's been fighting for almost 18 months.

Hope the pepcid helps. I've always had tummy troubles so I take 40 mill every night in a little bit of turkey baby food. Works for me!

Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
