Laura,

A little late to the discussion because of the intermittent WiFi here at Yellowstone, but we can always depend on great support and advice from the "regulars."  Words could not express our joy that the chemo is going so well.  For Cherry, it was far worse than the amputation, and while every one of our precious companions will respond differently to the treatments, I am sure that you will be pleased with the decision.  Chemo may not be for everyone, but it tends to provide the greatest potential for extending the quality of life.  We wish you nothing but glorious days, but please be prepared that some days may not be so up.  Keep your and Toffee's spirits up and there will be many more up days than down days.  We consider ourselves newbies to this journey, but are presently celebrating seven months post amputation here on our annual month long trip to Yellowstone.  Cherry just loves to travel and we have exploited that love often to keep her spirits up.

Nothing but positive thoughts from Yellowstone and crossed paws that you can navigate the chemo easily, but if not, never loose hope for there is a silver lining in every day we can spend with our very special TriPawd companions.

Bob & Cherry
