I am almost afraid to post this.....Ate well, up a good bit, no fever and last antibiotic injection tonight!!!! Whoooo hoooo! That is unless culture says otherwise. He actually looks plumper today. I know that is not at all possible, but maybe being up a bit more is helping. I was singing Celebrate good times, come on!! after injection as it was the last and then normal temp on top of that. He looked at me like I was nuts. I can almost see the eye roll when I come into the room with the thermometer. He is so cute!!!!!
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
This is GREAT news!!! You both deserve it!!!! YAY Ty! I am sure he does look fuller if he's feeling better. You know how we look all withdrawn when we are sick? I bet the same for dogs too. He's probably got some spunk back in him. Great news!!!
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Woohoo! Glad to hear Ty is feeling better! Keep it up dude!

Awesome update! You all deserve to CELEBRATE.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Love this! Ooooooh! So yesterday was a good day! Today????
YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

Today also!! Temp 101.8. I think that is about his normal + or -. I have got to get him back on dog food. Cooking for the boy is a full time job. it is my goal for him to have gained weight by next Wed. He has been losing a bit each time. His swelling is down I guess, because his bandage is shifting. From what I can see inside, it looks healed!!!! There is one place I cannot see as the bandage has kind of stuck and I am sure as heck not pulling it off. I had seen what I thought was fresh leakage, but realized it is the antibiotic gel vet put into wound. It is actually bright pink. Not blood at all.He had visitors today and has toted off 2 shoes and a sock. His elbow is looking a little raw from resting on it and I assume using it to get up. I got the bright idea to cut the toe off a nonskid slipper sock and put it on his leg. Good idea, but I think a child size may actually stay on. So now he is toting a bright yellow sock with him. Sleeping now. Breathing still seems a bit fast, but maybe an effect of prednisone?? I tried to split it into 3 doses instead of 2 , but saw little if any difference. Hoping this trend continues!!

Cody and Family
Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.
Oh the healing is happening, this is fantastic! I love love love to hear this great update, thank you for letting us know how he's doing. Sounds like the visitors really perked him up!
His breathing could be that he's tired from all of the activity today. It's hard work getting back to normal! Be sure to check with your vet about breaking up the prednisone dosage, it's the kind of drug that you want to be very careful about following exact directions, any irregularities could cause problems.
Wooohoo! Yay Ty!

I am going back to regular schedule tomorrow. Did not see any difference. Plus , it makes it hard to get his Pepcid in between doses. I wish I would have measured what he ate today. He is ravenous! I am pretty much letting him have as much as he wants. Doesn't seem to be causing any tummy upset. He has even gotten up at 3am whining. As soon as I get him food, he eats, drinks and goes right back to sleep. Kind of reminds me of my girls' newborn days LOL
