Is there a neighbor who can help you bring him home? What about your surgeon?
Generally most dogs will get up and walk to go to the bathroom within 24 hours after surgery. So he should at least be able to get to your car, the odds of you having to carry him are slim, but he will be woozy and unbalanced so that's the scary thing.
I would let your vet know about your concerns, and see if they can have one of their techs come help you transport him home. It's never OK to leave an animal alone for one, much less two entire days, after a major surgery like this. That would never happen to a human. I'm so sorry this has added to your stress. Let us know what's going on.
