oh my big boy...
Trying very hard to remind him that he has stitches... and no, shouldn't jump on the bed... or the couch... but at 85 kilos (180 pounds) hard to stop him. He's now barricaded into a special holding area...
We've had the fluid leak plus some small blood leaks BUT he's still a happy boy.
Keeping a level head with the healing... was a bit confronting when SO much fluid released... but you all warned me of that lol Sent the vet pics and yup... nothing too serious.
So, he's being restricted now. No more running around until he has healed a bit better

Good job on staying on top of the seroma and sending pics to your Vet. Seeing fluid leak from a seroma xan ve a bit startling! As long as it's not stinky. or puss oozing and not bloody, it should clear up "shortly".
Shhh....even though Gatsby may have been doing a little too much...shhh...our secret.....I know your heart is bursting with pride to see him doing so well😉😎
Slow and easy Mr Gatsby. Apparently no one told you this is major surgery and you needed time to recover, as well as adjust to three! Nope, clearly no one told you based on the way you are rocking this recovery!!
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Oh boy, Gatsby! Did the vet mention compresses at all? Sometimes they will recommend warm compresses a couple of times a day to help make sure all the fluid releases and does not start to build up again. You might want to ask your vet what he/she thinks. Glad you were able to get him confined to an area that will help keep him quiet.
Sounds like he is doing well otherwise, that is pawsome!
Hugs,
Jackie, Bo, Andy, Oscar, Phoebe, and the coolest feral tripawd kitty Huckleberry
Sooo glad you remembered about the seroma risk. Most people panic but you kept your cool. Great job! And super happy to know that Gatsby is getting all of his spunk back. Silly boy! There will be lots of time for playing and couch surfing after recovery, silly boy!
