Well we made the decission his front leg had to come off as it was being injured just bumping around the ground, but hes happy and wagging his tail looking for a ball already "day2"... wow im so impressed how dogs just bounce back... i just need to get my head around it now...
Well done frankie for showing me life goes on... ur an amazing boy ..
Isn't it amazing how they come back from such a traumatizing surgery. My greyhound Socks just had her right front leg amputated on Monday. She is already wanting to ride in the car. She is getting around so well, her foot is little swollen though. Other than that, don't tell her she's missing a leg cause you would never know it. I just got my Socks home, she has taught me so much in the last week since she broke her shoulder. I am so happy that your Frankie is doing well.

Proud mama to Socks, a 7 year old greyhound. Became an amputee on 12/10/12. Once a racer, always a champion.
Hey Frankie, glad to hear you're doing well! Let us know if you have any questions at all OK? And try to take it easy so you can have a speedy recovery. You'll be back to your puppy craziness in no time!

Yep, that sounds about right - generally the pups bounce back much quicker than us humans!
Hope he continues to do well!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Another Frankie? way cool.. and a front leg amputee too.. just like mine! I was amazed at my Franklin and how well he was coping after his surgery... It certainly is worse on the owners, it's true! Good to hear your Frankie is doing well!!
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
