11pm – walked around the circle... had his dinner.
DAY 13 – 4/19/23
A little restless night.
730am – woke up... outside for pee
Overall a good day. He was in and out. Laid in sun for a bit. Frank came over to play for bit. He raised himself up to look over the kitchen counter to see the road.
530pm – Had dinner (mush, supplements, heart and chicken drumstick)
630pm – went for a ride to the park for a stroll. He was thrilled to be back. Stepped up on bench. Walked him good. Wagged his tail most of the way. No ball (yet).
730pm – back home and he is tuckered out!
11pm – Sleeping on bed... was up and down a few times. Now he is out - don’t want to move him.
12am – He got up... moved him into bedroom.
DAY 14 – 4/20/23
Sleep good last night. Was restless at first.
910am - left for work with Finn! He had a great typical day at the office his first day back. Saw Jennifer (she lost her dog to OSA) and the other Frank. Slept in his normal spots. He was able to get in and out of the car with ease. Getting in is not a problem. He finally got out on his own without my help... which he does not like. And he did it in a manner that he did not have to jump down. (I need to get him a harness)
5pm – Got home. Did not want to get out of car (we normally go to park after work). Grabbed leash and he was ready. Went on a good walk. Came home and he was in and out.
6pm – Had his Raw dinner with supplements. Hung out inside and outside. Tried to play ball, but he did not want to chase the ball yet.
9pm – inside and on bed for TV time.
Day 15 – 4/21/23
Slept good... seems to be getting back to his normal self.
Came to office with me
215pm – Stitches OUT! He is 4# less than last Wednesday. I did not realize he was eating less. Probably the supplements and other changes. He is super picky... need to ensure he is eating enough. The doctor was happy with his recovery. Finns tail was spinning!
Sadly his sister died today of cancer. The doctors could not figure out what type. That is 3rd of the 9 in the litter.
Day 16 – 4/22/23
Good day. He is getting up when I ask... moving around. Not restless.
Now that the first 2 weeks are over, I wont be posting as much... but will keep updating. Thank you so much for this site!!! It made these last two weeks easier on us. I would have never done a journal like this. Hopefully it helps someone else in the future. Enjoying my bonus time with my guy Finn.
Oh I love that he went to work with you! I can only imagine all the smiles and happy welcome backs he got from his 'co-workers."
I'm so sorry about his sibling! 3 of 9 in the litter? I hope the breeder is retiring that line. That is so tragic!
He's doing so well, I'm happy for you guys. Yes, enjoy this bonus time! That's what it's all about.
