This morning, Kender (left hind leg amp) had her Trimline cone pushed most of the way down and it looked like she had gotten at the very end of her stitches. They are all intact still, but the trailing end is so short I'm afraid the knot is going to come undone. And it's not unreasonable to assume she's going to get at them again :/ Is a hard cone my only other options? Any other suggestions?? I've seen the inflatable kind but not sure that would work with how far back her stitches go.

I think Erica used a onsie for Jill and also tried the donut collar. Jill is also a rear amp.
Here is a link to the blog post on the donut.
I used the donut collar on my pug when he had knee surgery, but cats are way more flexible than pugs!

Thanks Karen! I've read about using a onesie, but can't figure out how I'd make that work so she could still use the litter box...maybe Erica has some pointers!

Oh Kender. That wasn't very nice of you. Definitely don't want to mess up those stitches.
Could you somehow alter some shorts to work?

Smore is my tripawd kitty who adopted me one summer evening. She had an injury to her front left leg and had to have her leg removed July 17th. She was only 3 or 4 months old at the time. Now she moves faster than some four legged cats!
Thanks for the suggestions! I ended up modifying her current cone to give it some rigid structure on either side and it seems to be working so far! Keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way.

I saw that Melinda and am LOVING the details in your blog for things like this. Great job! I think you could patent this one.
