Awww Fancy, we're just so hoppy you're doing good. That's quite a satellite dish, is that the latest model? We've never seen one quite so large. You must pick up signals from Mars with that thing!
Keep on keepin' on, you betcha we're pulling for you!

Fancy does look like she is doing good. I love how shiny she is. I am partial to shiny black puppies, I love the way their coats look in the sun.
I am glad you caught the infection in time. My boy had his scapula left in and experienced a horrible amount of phantom pain . I am starting to think that it should be standard to take it out with an amputation. I haven't heard anything good about leaving it in.
I also seriously recommend that you get sleep while you can Hoss. I went 5 days with no sleep dealing with my boys issues and it can really impact how you view their recovery and the overwhelming feelings that come with it.
Good luck and you guys are in our prayers,
Elizabeth and Sammy

I had to go back in the thread to find the picture with Hoss's satellite dish! Yes, indeed, do you get stations all the way from Winnipeg with that thing?!?
Poor little Fancy! You guys stop making fun of her collar. I'm sure she is embarrassed enough just to have to wear it.

yeah, Cooper happens to think Fancy looks beautiful in her blue collar! He says it brings out her beautiful brown eyes. Hoping things are still looking good for her today!

yes shes tired of it for sure but shes been one heck of a trooper. I couldn't ask her to be any better. after coming in from a potty break she reluctantly holds her head up so I can put it back on. I do give her time with it off when shes by me and I can watch her. I think she would be willing to do free shipping on it when its time to shed it..lol
I told her what you said Coops dad. She said "thank you Coop---> its Juicy couture. Its really expensive"...geez these girls I don't even know what that is? I don't know whats going on after that shopping spree...Ü
Fancy went to get her staples out yesterday. the Dr messed with her stub and squeezed and manipulated it somewhat and Fancy didn't even care. The Dr said her incision was completely closed and she was way ahead of schedule for all thats been done. Her staples were removed and Dr Kelly lifted all of her restrictions. I wanted to make sure I understood and so I asked again. He said ALL of her restrictions were lifted that she could do what ever she wanted to do. I told him that when she gets home she will want to get in the pond. The Dr said let her. If she lands on it or hits it and crys any at all slow her down..Well I got her home and when I opened the door of the truck she jumped out, She went running straight to the pond---> wow shes doing great. Fancy swam around a bit. I then got her training dummy and threw it for her a few times. She went in hard and fast with a leap of confidence. No problems and I can tell shes happy to be in the swing again. I let her mingle with the other 2 labs and they were really glad to visit. I could tell they missed her..They all took off running threw the trees. It was really awsome to see them together again.. Thanks to all you guys ...I don't know what else to say..Ü.. I will take some pics soon and post them...Ive been out all day, got up early so its off to bed for me..Ive got to get up at 4:30 again..
Thank you from the bottom and all around in my heart for your get well wishes..they worked..Ü

Oh, how I LOVE a happy story! I've been hanging around and keeping up with everything, but haven't posted a lot. I'm so happy for you and Miss Fancy! I can only imagine how great it felt to see her jump in the pond. Just don't worry if she need extra rest after partying like a rock star today!
Hugs and sloppy kisses,
Spirit Sadie's pack
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

She sounds like she is doing wonderfully. I would be careful letting her jump on her remaining leg too much. Even though she can do it, it might be a good idea to protect her remaining leg. Swimming sounds like it would be perfect, no impact!
Good luck and best wishes,
Elizabeth and Sammy
