Hi Tripawd family,
I'll tell you a story which can help others.
A short time ago, I had the terrible news that Eurydice, Marley's (my Great Dane) best friend, had died.
Because I also lost Marley this year (to lymphoma), I know very well what my friend Teresa was going through, and I decided to publish a video on Facebook of Eurydice playing with me.
In this video Eurydice no longer had one leg, due to her illness.
After publishing the video, I received a message from someone who also had a Great Dane, called Alana.
She was very sad because Alana was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, her Mom had already scheduled euthanasia because, as she had never seen a Dane without her front leg, she didn't think she could have a normal and comfortable life.
Her vet did not advise amputation, he told her amputation was only possible for back legs and for smaller dogs ...
She then decided to go the hard way (which we all know what it is, and if we do it, it's only not to prolong the suffering of our best friends) ... but when she saw the video, she sent me a message and after we spoke decided to have her leg amputated.
Now, Alana is very well and has a normal life.
All this thanks to Eurydice our little (big) Angel ...
This is the Eurydice's video I published, what a happy girl she was ...
YAAAAY! Sonia thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story. It's heartwarming how our three-legged dogs and cats can show people that life on 3 legs can be a joy! We are so proud of Angel Eurydice and Teresa for all they do to give hope and inspawration to others. In this way, she lives on forever.
I hope we get to see Alana and her mom here some day!

Dearest friends and sweet three legged fluffies 🌻🐾🐾🐾
Today, 12th June is the day our beloved and most adored Eurydice earned her XXL silver wings (one year ago) 💞🐮🕊💞
Today is the day Miss Cow became an Angel 💓🌟💓
There has not been one single day that she has not been on my mind, I miss her far, far more than I can say, I still long to kiss her and give her XXL hugs, smell her fur and engage in endless conversations, like we used to do.
For example: whooooo wooo woo woof yes, Eurydice? woooooooooof (translation: are you going to share your lunch with me, yes or no?) Ok Eurydice, here. Take a piece of my burger. Woof nhac nhac gone.
This day was one of the hardest days in my entire life but I had made my adored girl a promise.
I promised her I would be there for her and make sure her XXL silver wings would be available and ready when she was.
Still, the hardest of days.
The hardest.
Angel Eurydice has ever since made sure I would not suffer when remembering her.
Each and every time my heart ached she flew down and gave me kisses and whispered in my ear "Mom, I am here, I am here. I am here and I love you, I adore you. Remember the time when we .... "
And that would immediately take me to the time when we ... did whatever we did together, always happy, we were always happy.
This same day, one year ago, our family also lost Murphy and Fyonn, bless their sweet Angel's hearts 💗
And four days later we lost Murphy, the Great Dane, bless his sweet Angel's heart too 💗
As Murphy's Mom said at the time, little did we know him and Eurydice had planned to meet up in the sky 🌟
Ever since that day, Angel Eurydice has been busy having fun, truth be said.
She can now fly as she pleases and visit all of our family all over the world.
Heck, she even started her travels in Europe with me, Pedro the Penguin and Woody the Woodpecker and I will add link separately so you can join us, if you so wish.
Angel Eurydice, for me, is the essence of love and happiness rolled into one.
For me, she is still as inspiring as when she was physically here.
She still shows me the beauty of life, she unveils the meaning of life for me a little bit more every day.
Because of her I learned to cherish the day, to squeeze every moment of happiness and live life to the full.
Carpe Diem.
And because of you all who kindly provided so much love and support during Eurydice's journey, I am never going to go anywhere.
Just like our adorable Sally 💓 and so many others 💕 I will for ever be part of this family, offering support, love and sharing my experience as best I can.
I know Angel Eurydice is happy and pain free now as are all of our adored Angels.
I take comfort in knowing this.
And I take comfort in knowing one day I will be able to fly with her and my other Angels albeit with a modest size of silver wings 🕊 compared to hers 🐮🌟
Wishing you all the best in the world, wishing you all have a long, long, long time with your babies 💞🐮🐶🐱🐹🐰🐸🐔💞
😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
ps I am still to publish photos and videos of sweet Eurydice's last couple of days with me, as promised and will do it as soon as I can.
