In honor of Etta's 2 week ampuversary today I am posting  a link to a short video from this morning of Etta going through the dog door.   View and comment on YouTube  smile

Our angel "Etta" amputation on 4-15-10 lost her front limb. initially dx'd with neurofibrosarcoma. However, after surgery they discovered histiocytic sarcoma a very aggressive cancer. After two full rounds of chemo our special angel lost her battle on 6-21-10. the sweetest and most gentle soul. Our lives are forever blessed for having known her...

Most excellent. Way to go Etta! We often get asked if Tripawds can still use a doggie door. Thanks for sharing this. And Hoppy Ampuversary! big-grin

Good job Etta!

My pug Maggie was able to use her dog door once I lowered it so she did not have to jump at all.  She is a rear amp so I think it is a bit easier.

It's good to see a front amp figure it out- especially so soon after surgery.

I can't remember if I shared this picture of Magic's new doggie door...Etta's reminded me.....we had one like Etta's except it was a solid rubber swinging thingee and I thought maybe if it was clear and way taller it would be easier for him...other than Magic and OJ relearning the process (it used to be if it was clear it was glass and didn't swing!) it   works great.  But watching Etta, maybe I jumped too soon!!  Although that was on the list of things to do this year...

Great video of Etta! She goes through that door so effortlessly.  Happy 2 Week Ampuversary! This celebration calls for lots of treats and more treats (and can't forget about the ice cream!)

Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

Etta you are a genius!  Way to go!!!

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Nice video!!!

I know that I sometimes feel funny about posting the videos that I do to Youtube, because most people have no understanding of how special these "normal" situations are.. Glad to see that Etta is moving so well, and that you posted the video!

Awwwwwww.....so cute!

Etta, you put the biggest smile on our faces here, please tell your Mom THANK YOU for sharing this beautiful, amazing moment with us.

Yeah Ted, we do understand. It truly is beautiful watching something like this, especially after being so afraid it would never hoppen again.

Hoppy Ampuversary Etta!!!
