To Emily and her family,
As I read my comments, it cannot believe how "clinical" these comments sound now. So let me help fix that now.
You are doing great. Those of us who have started down this journey understand how difficult it is both emotionally and financially. The sacrafice you are making for Emily (and all the rest of this forum group) is nothing short of great and you should be proud. Our local vet is also a friend of the family and she tells me that neither of two similar diagnosis made after Cherry are here today because the families either could not or would not make the kind of commitment that you have given Emily. I really do mean it when I say that Cherrys status really improved exponentially as soon as we got those chemicals out of her body for the last time. I would not hesitate to do it again because I know that the treatments recieved were our best hope to provide Cherry with the quality of life she deserves.
As far as the emotial toll, I have cried more than I could ever count. I do stay strong in front of Cherry, but do leave her with mom (Emily) and go outside to totally loose it. However, I do everything possible to not let that feeling encroach into the time we have now. There will be plenty of time for grieving later - much later.
So cheers to you and believe that better times together are comming. You can follow Cherry's journey at http://home.com.....ryjourney/
