Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
Welcome home Ellie! My name is Charley and I think you're really cute!!! I am a 3 year old chocolate lab and I am also a front leg amp (osteosarcoma)! Once your staples are removed you'll be soooo much better! The staples start pulling and pinching when your incision is healing. Sending lots of positive thoughts for a speedy recovery!
Make sure you get lots of rest and you'll be running around in no time! Here's a video of me playing in the snow at 12 weeks post amp.
Hugs and chocolate kisses,
Charley (and his mommy, Ellen)

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Ellie looks great! Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Sorry I can't change the subject line in these post:
Ellie-day 2
I was out teaching all day today and Ellie progress from the morning to evening has been amazing. We couldnt rouse her so we carried her up the steps. (could also be she isn't a "morning" girl)
When I came home, she bounded over to greet me as usual, with full smile and she's learning to bunny hop around.
I'm the one who needs the sleep as I was up late, really late, last night.
So goodnight and thanks for all the good thoughts. They are really
making they're way to her.
