Dusty can come out of the cone of shame today ... but he's a real licker, so I think that we'll keep it on him at night for a while. During the day when he can be monitored we'll keep him as cone-free as possible.
We go see the doggie oncologist on Jan 15 to determine what other course of action, if any, we might pursue. His biopsy came back Grade III, so I'm not sure how we'll proceed.
Yeah, I think this may be one of those down parts of the roller coaster rides but I'm glad to hear he's feeling perkier today. Here's to a spunkier Dusty in 2014! Keep us posted.
Oh and good idea to be so vigillant about the cone of shame .

Yeah, soundslike jst a little over-doing it! Heck, humans would still be in the hospital!
And just to add another little "exclamation point" to every dog is different......because my Happy Hannah was having such a rough recovery, I actually raised the dose of her pain meds back up just a touch and that seemed to help. I had "tapered off" as "most" dogs don't need them once the stitches are out (which was day fourteen for her). I was still in the "scared I'd made the wrong decision" mode, when one of the great supporters here suggested I up the dose again (with vet approval of course). Made a huge difference!!
Keep us updated on that cutie pie! It IS time for more photos! You DO know that, right!
Hugs to all and the happiest New Year to you!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
If I could figure out how to post pictures, I would. I tried to figure out the stupid blog page but that's just impossible. I'm not exactly computer illiterate, but I couldn't figure out that !$%!# blog. Looks like I need to post some photos to some photo-sharing site and link them back to a forum post. Maybe that's something I'll do tonight while I'm trying to make it to midnight!
That's what I had to do. I use Photobucket for stills and YouTube for videos.

PS. Midnight?? What's that?? We get to watch the ball in Times Square at ten and then head to bed. We sure aren't going to manage to wait up to see the Great Potato drop in Boise. LOL!
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Have you seen this Forum post about adding images?
You are correct, you have two options for sharing photos: you can upload them to your own blog in the Media Gallery (the dashboard has it listed on the left sidebar), then copy and paste the URL into your Forum post, by using the "tree" icon in the editing toolbars. Keep in mind that supporter blogs have lots more space to store photos than those who have free blogs.
Or, you can upload photos to a site like Photbucket, right click on the image URL and Copy the Image Location, or use the Embed Image URL code on the right side of your Photobucket page where each photo appears.
I hope this makes sense, let me know. Creating a blog isn't as hard as it looks, there are some great tutorials at http://www.trip.....s.com/help as well as within your own blog. It takes a minute to focus and read through but you can figure it out! Have fun (remember, it's supposed to be fun!).
A giant potato in Boise? WOW!
