Domino is now 10 days post op! I took his staples out at home last night which went very well. He went to the vet today for a recheck which went pretty well. Dr. Dunagin is very happy with the incision (other than the dog ears) and even happier with Domino's progress! The only other concern Doc had was Domino's left pupil is more constricted than his right. Which attributes to Horner's Syndrome. A nerve condition that is self resolving that could have been cause by his initial accident or by the surgery. But basically the bundle of nerves in his should muscles connects to his nerves leading to his eyes and is causing nerve problems on that one side of the face. His is mild and should hopefully go away in a couple of weeks. Other than that he's great! He got more laser therapy today and got the ok to go ahead and start to slowly increase his activity.
I'll be posting some pictures and videos of Domino later tonight on his blog! Hope everyone else is doing well.

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
Hey Domino that's fantastic news! How come the vet doesn't like your dog ears?
Is the horner's syndrome painful at all?

The "dog ears" are the ends of his incision that turn up, making them poke out. Its purely cosmetic and we may or may not fix it.
He said the horner's isn't painful or a problem, it should go away on its own eventually. So fingers crossed that it does!

Ohhh that's what they call that! Jerry had those too, we called them his nipples! His fur covered it up eventually.
