Update December 26th.
Things seemed to go great until just now he yelped and came back to me quick. I think he had another neuroma. I thought we were over with them. It's so scary...

Oh no! Sending good positive thoughts your way!
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Poor pup. What was he doing just prior to when it happened? Hope he feels better today.

Jerry, he was just resting in the living room and went gently to the water bowl. Once there I heard a yelp and he came back pretty quick. He didn't seemed affected like the previous times and was wagging his tail right away when I started talking to him. He seems totally fine today.

Whew! Glad he feels better. Sounds like just a random thing at this point, I'm sure the episodes will be fewer and farther inbetween.

Update Dec 30.
When I thought those neuromas would be spaced out even more than before. I was so wrong. He had another one just now. It didn't seems to be super hurtful but it was one nonetheless. I feel at loss because I can't do nothing for him. The good thing is that they don't last long. I guess I will be phoning the vet and Hank will have to be on meds for a little longer.
He seems alright now. He's laying on the couch head down looking at me.
sigh...

It isn't necessarily a bad thing to be on meds a little longer. Trouble was taken off her pain meds at 7 days, and that was just too soon. I called the vet, and he put her back on them for another 7 days. After that she was good to go.

I was not too worries yesterday after his neuroma but he had another one just after I called the vet this am. I didn't get to speak to one but they said he will call me back. I have one day left of meds and I'm quite worried.

Then he had another one 30 minutes later. I phoned the vet right away since I haven't heard from him and he's still in an appointment. They said that it was not urgent so they will not pull him out of his consult, that he will call me back. I agree it's not an emergency but I'm worried sick... I hope Hank won't have another neuroma today.

Was thinking about you today and I was wondering how Hank is holding up. Just wanted to say hi and hope all is going well with Hank's recovery. Post to let us know he is ok when you get a chance.

Update Jan 10.
I can't believe it's been a month since the last update. Hank is doing well. He still have some neuromas but they are very mild compare to before. I have good hope that they are going to resume. He's also off his meds since a week now and doing great. Seems like they were slowing him down. He's able to eat his kibbles without a mix of cottage cheese and whatnot. He's basically back to his old self with the difference that he's now hopping. He's doing monkey things I didn't thought he could do with his 3 legs. He can still mark on 2 legs but he usually squat. He can also do a full flight of stairs up and down like it's no body's business and can even turn mid way going down and get back up. He can still take a walk and drag his nose under the snow while in motion. He can still push his brothers out of his way. And he can get on the couch even if a table have been put in front for him to not go. That's quite the monkey dog!
Just today I took all the dogs for a walk (about 30 mins) and Hank was happy to be out there in the elements. He pooped quite a bit (good!) and now he's tired and sleeping.
Treatment wise. I started my application for a grant for the chemo treatments. I'm also in the process to book an appointment to see the oncologist for an assessment. Hopefully this will happen in the next 10 days or so. I also got in touch with our Holistic vet clinic to see if they could help with some treatments after all the stuff his done. They said they had herbs and immunity booster on top of treatment. I will have to go for a consult with him too.
So much going on but at least the Hankster his doing great. If all is kept that way we are doing a surprise visit at the hospital this w-e to see the staff and the patients and our team members. I can't wait because I know how Hank loves this job.

Great update I am so glad Hank is getting around so well. Make sure to ask the Oncologist about the herb and mixing of the chemo. Some want you to wait until done to do those.
