Hi everybody, my ten-year old cat Barbie was just diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the mouth, and surgical treatment is not an option.
I was told she needs to go for radiotherapy, but I have found that the cyberknife treatment is much better. However, cannot find which clinics in the EU perform such treatments. Please, if anybody knows, advise. Also, please share if you have experiences with homeopatic product Cancer PiptoPET. Many thanks!
Hi Barbie and family. I'm on my phone and wanted to get your post approved asap so members can chime in. Stay tuned I will provide feedback in a bit. Thanks for joining!

Hi, when you say EU you probably mean the U.K., right? I could only help out with vet clinics in Germany but megstamum (Clare) knows a lot about clinics in the U.K. So she might have some knowledge on who does cyberknife. If you need anything continental let me know!

Hi there and welcome!
I am sorry to hear about Barbie, but pleased that you have found your way here. There is really no place like it for information and support.
These are the veterinary centres in the UK that currently offer radiation therapy:
- University of Liverpool Veterinary School
- University of Cambridge Veterinary School
- University of Glasgow Veterinary School
- University of Edinburgh Veterinary School
- Animal Health Trust, Newmarket
- VRCC, Essex
My (limited) understanding is that Cyberknife is a form of radiation therapy, but whether these centres offer it, I do not know. My advice would be to ring them and ask.
I have personal experience of both the Animal Health Trust and the University of Cambridge Vet School and both are excellent, but I would think that any of these centres would be a good bet.
Good luck, do let us know how you get on.

Thanks to all for your support.
Tina and Manni, Germany would be a good option for me especially Berlin and surroundings if you know some good clinics there.
Many thanks
Ok, where abouts are you located?
There is a clinic that belongs to the veterinary university of Berlin. I've heard good things about them but have no personal experience. sonce they belong to the university I would think they would be pretty up-to-date

There is also a very good research clinic belonging to the university of Hannover. To be honest I have only been to the horse clinic there but that was absolutely cutting edge and very very good. Might be good to give them a call, they have a department for small pets as well:

The one that I am at is located near Hamburg. They do their radiotherapy in a regular hospital so maybe they would be able to help you, too. Dr. Wagner is a terrific surgeon, Prof. Nickel did our chemo and does everything oncological.

Now I don't have any experience with cyberknife so you will probably have to make some calls there. If I can help you with anything else let me know!!
