After an unexpectedly difficult surgery and an long scary night, Connor is doing ok today. He just outran me to go potty as I didnt expect him to go anywhere. I guess I need to watch him A LOT closer! It's less than 24 hours after the surgery. Now he's napping comfortably. It's amazing. Thanks to everyone for your support & advise in making my decision. As of now, it's looking good.
BOO-YAAH! In your face amputation! You ain't gonna stop Connor!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Watch and don't let him over do. They really do need to take it easy during recovery, even if they think differently!

Hi Connor and family!
Glad to hear you made it through your amputation... Now, that's a big procedure... so you need to take it easy for the next 2 weeks... No running around... Pawrent's... you hear that?!! Connor may think he can do it, but the body has to heal from this traumatic surgery... so try to keep him calm.
So, why did Connor have an amputation? Cancer or accident? The first 2 weeks are always the most difficult... The body needs to heal...
Keep us posted on Connor's progress and post some pictures when you get a chance!

Hey Connor don't scare us like that. What happened in surgery? It's OK if you don't want to talk about it, we're just nosy.
And just glad to hear you're done with that big event and on the road to recovery. Be good and you'll get to go outside and have a good time soon!

nap, nap, nap, nap!!! at least for the next two weeks!!! everyone, stop what you're doing right now, and take a nap - it really helps!!!
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Hey, Connor! Congratulations on coming through surgery and your first night ok! We'll cheer you on - and will keep fingers and paws crossed that the next few weeks go smoothly. Remember that napping is a really good thing... for that fact I think I'll go take one now, too!
Hugs,
