Hey everypawdy, I'm doing some research on cold laser therapy. I know there's been quite a few Tripawds who have tried it, and I would love to get your opinions about this treatment. Specifically:
- Do you get cold laser treatments?
- If yes, who administers the treatments? A vet? A rehab therapist?
- What do you pay per session?
- What specific condition(s) is it treating on you?
- Have you seen results? If so, please describe.
- How long until you saw the results?
- Were you willing to try it right away or did you need convincing? Why/why not?
- Any other thoughts about this type of therapy?
Thank you!

i do laser therapy on gayle daily. our accupuncture vet recommended it and has instructed me on the appropriate sites to laser. the sites are chi sites, that help with immunity, mouth/tongue/face, hips and lungs. i believe this has helped gayle in fighting the oral melanomas as well as keeping her immunity stronger. we've been doing this since february or so of this year.

Love Never Ends
I do cold Laser on my Dog.
The laser device is a loaner, but I was told It was quite expensive.
I used the Laser on a specific setting for general healing of wounds over the amputation inscision and then later on the seroma that developed after surgery. I currently treat around the amputation site and sometimes on other areas where he has lumps daily for 3 min. using a setting that is supposed to be used for cancer prevention/treatment.
There are several other settings on the unit and Ive tried the endorphin release setting on Roman a couple times and it did seem to relax him, that setting is applied on the back of the head and temples.
I started this immediately after amputation, I have no way of telling if it has helped since there is no control subject. I don't see how this could be hurting so its worth doing.
