did anyome have to do chemo and radiation ?

our 8 year old catahoula had a right rear leg amputation and hemipelvectomy on May 13.  The biopsy came back as a grade 3 (soft tissue sarcoma / nerve sheath tumor) and her mitotic rate was 18...  due to this they are recommending chemo and radiation once her wound is completely healed....

Despite a lot of issues initially post surgery, huckleberry is doing well

Cheers to Huckleberry! That's wonderful news about her doing well! Got any pics you'd like to share? We would love to see them!

Chemo and radiation isn't unheard of and I know others have gone through the combined treatments for various types and grades of cancer. What are your specific concerns about doing both? Sounds like the oncologist wants to cover all bases.
