It's been a few weeks since I posted about Bella. We had a date scheduled - then cancelled, and now it's happening. Her chest ex-rays were clear so they are proceeding with the surgery. She will not be staying overnight, so we are preparing for all that I have read about and we are going to be strong, supportive, loving pup parents. Please send positive energy our way in Wakefield, Rhode Island. It's a beautiful spring day and we are letting lots of fresh air flood the house. Heading to home depot in a few minutes to buy our runners for the wood floors. Yesterday afternoon, Bella had spring fever and really wanted to play fetch with the squeaky ball. She has such a puppy attitude for a 9.8 mos girl. I just know she's going to get through this in the best possible way. I am so grateful for this site. It has been such a blessing.
Lots of positive thoughts and healing energy from Manni and myself!
To a speedy recovery and no bumps in your road!

Osteo and amputation in Dec 2015. Second, inoperable, primary osteosarcoma found in June 2017.
The end of our adventures came Dec 10, 2017. 2 years to the day.
Sending positive vibes your and her way. Keep yourself busy - waiting to hear after surgery is complete seems like forever.
Otis - 121 lbs pre amp - 114 lbs post amp and now 118 lb Great Dane - English Mastiff X. Started limping on 12/24/16. Diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 12/28/16 - amputation of front left leg on 1/6/17. Stitches out and 1st round of Chemo on 1/19/17. 2nd round of Carboplatin on 2/10/17 - 3rd round on 3/2/2017. 4th round was scheduled for 3/22/17 - however due to low WBC postponed - 4th Chemo completed on 3/28/17. Had breathing difficulties, stayed in Tufts ICU overnight. Due for 2 more rounds of Chemo but we are opting to go with homeopathy with Dr. Loops instead.

I love the fact that it's a beautiful day and you are letting all that fresh Spring air flood your house. Bella will come home to a house full of positive, healing energy. She's going to be fine. The first couple of weeks may be tough, but I just know she is going to do really well.

Wherever they are, they are together.
We had the surgery done at Washington County with Dr. Pastorello and Dr. Greene. They have been wonderful. No Fentanyl, but we are giving her Tramadol, Gabapenton and antiboitics. Ocean State is very good. Several months ago, Bella had a vestibular incident in the middle of the night. They actually think it was from an ear infection she was being treated for. It was awful. We took her to Ocean State and they were wonderful.
