Bailey February 27Image Enlarger

Top photo on 2/27/14 prior to first chemo treatment.  Bottom photo... Bailey resting... not wanting to eat... just drink, drink and drink... having accidents during sleep, but Mum doesn't mind. I'm sleeping so sound, finally since amp. 2/7/14

Awwww, she looks so sweet!  I feel like joining her in those comfy blankies by the fireplace. I'm glad you're both getting some rest. :)

Amy & Libby

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

YAAAAAAAAY! It was woth the wait!! GREAT PHOTOS!! Such a handsome, handsome boy! Makes us al want to co e over and snuggle with hi !!

I've forgotten...which pain meds is he on? Or is he? I know you said in yor other post the vet said the peeing wasn't related to the chemo...okay...what did the vet suggest then? And keep demanding answers and ask for more thorough investigation. I mewn, for them to say, "Hmmmm...we don't know what's causing the dark stool, or the excessive peeing."..and just leave it at that? Nope, not acceptable!

Tha ks for the photos! Grinning ear to ear over here!

Yoj are dong an amazng job! Stay connected to us!

Love and hugs!

Hi Sally!

Bailey is on Ondansetron/Zofran.  I will definitely not settle on this urine issue.  So far thought I have not given her the anti-nausea and she's not drinking excessively, not sure if it's because it's day 3 after chemo or not giving the anti-nausea?

The dark stool they seem to think was from the antibiotic, which she was put on for UTI after amp. and will no longer be given that.  Not sure if it was a combo of UTI and lack of water and allergy to the antibiotic... but she said stop it.  So we did and it cleared pretty quick and she started drinking more and her urine cleared and the runny nose stopped as well as the foam at the mouth.

This forum rocks!

Sally and Happy Hannah... Bailey said to tell you she's a girl....  big-grin and loves all the support for her and her Mums!

HUGS

Good to hear Bailey is sleeping peacefully!

A good tip when they want to drink and drink and drink is to limit them to a quarter of a cup of water, but offer it frequently (every ten minutes), so they don't feel too dry.  They'll get the water they need, but without overloading the stomach.  Still, who cares much about a wet bed, huh?

We've used disposable pads meant for toddlers' beds to cover the dog beds when necessary.  They have a waterproof backing to make clean-up easier.  :)

Hugs from Lily and Joan

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Dear MISS Bailey..............YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! clap

Best news all day!! Rockin' or world with grins ear to ear!!

Silly Bailey.....Hapoy Hannah knew you were a girl all along....she just wanted to see if yor momma was really reading all these replies!! Yeah, right! A big DUH in my part!blush

I kow how thrilled you are! Just immerse yourself in the moment! You know your Baikey better than anyone! There's one theme you've repeated several times, anf that's her sensitivity to drugs. And it seems clear, based on what you've said above, someof her issues...stool, pee, etc. seem to be relatee to her meds.

zmaybe now you can breathe a sigh of relief and know that she really is turning a good corner now!

Get that blankie Bailey...get it girl!!

Sooooooo happh! Tha ks for the GREAT update and keep 'em coming!! Burgers and blankies, doesn't get much better than that!

Sending lots of hugs and loves and really loud cheers!! HIP..HIP....HOORAAAAAAAY BAILEY G I R L!!!clap

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
