I was wondering if anyone has recently used Avemar? I saw a few forums but from years ago. In just my quick Google search this afternoon it seems very promising. I was wondering if it is something I can add to the metronomic protocol HoneyBear is already on? And also if anyone has experienced any side effects? Any info regarding this would be much appreciated!!
Sheena how are you guys? Did you make it through the Texas flooding alright? I hope so!
It's interesting that you mention Avemar. I looked in our old posts about it and it seems that it is no longer available in the U.S. Can you share the URLs of websites that sell it in the states?
For those unfamiliar with it, Avemar is:
The active ingredient is Avemar pulvis, an all-natural compound made from fermented wheat germ extract using patented biotechnological processes. Since the invention of Avemar pulvis significant research has been undertaken - not only in the laboratory, but in test animals and human cancer patients as well. Numerous scientific studies have been conducted to study its safety profile and its effectiveness, including in vitro, in vivo and human clinical research. Over 100 reports have been written for presentation or publication since 1998, and over 33 peer-reviewed scientific papers are currently accessible at PubMed database. All scientific publications are accessible at the official Avemar Research website.
I don't have anything to add here but am interested in finding out if others have tried it.

Thank you jerry for your response! We are doing well, Corpus Christi faired very well with the hurricane. I followed the link from the old post from the Great Dane Clyde on the avemar and it took me to amazon where it is still available. I wanted to pm the owner but unless I missed something I don't think I can. I talked to HoneyBears oncologist and she is fine with us trying it but would feel more comfortable if we talked to a veterinarian who has experience with it. This will be tough because you're right, most info on it is from Europe. I saw another one ave ultra but I read it had orange flavor and stevia so not the greatest mix for a dog. I will be on a mission to order it and figure out dosing because it seems like it would be a great supplement to add with no negative side effects! We tried the zoledronate and 3 weeks later I don't see any changes so we think it was just a wash which we knew could happen. So I'm excited to pursue avemar now. Thank you for your response and I will keep y'all updated!
