Sophie barks loudly so get prepared, but Mighty Atlas has nothing but love for Dr. Williams ! He loves his visits, assumes the position rather quickly and looks at Doc like, come on then. ( very impressed with his jumps in the end- that's how he was like four years ago!) Never mind this Friday is four months post amp!

I got a little video of the needles. Atlas does not like me videoing and gives me his quick disapproval and humf. Too funny. He wants me sitting in my place near his head not disturbing the zen hour thank you very much!
Even Sophie knows to lay in her bed and watch, do not disturb, which she does amazingly well. she just lays there and stares at Dr. Williams. Gotta keep an eye on him anyway....he's the guy who held her down for bloodwork and X-rays! Hmmm she says....and Atlas is enjoying this.....hmm very confused.....but want to lay in the same room and soak up the positive energy....

And "m jumping for joy right alng with you Atlas!! But I'm jumping for joy at seeng you nd Sophie, ' not Dr Williams!clap

So Patricia, how 'bout dropping this video off to the vet who made al the rotten comments about Atlas not beng able to handle amutation!

I dould looka at these two dogs all day long. They are stunning i dividually and even more magnificent and stunning together..

I can't remember, didyou decide to go with metro or are you must sticking with holistic nutrition, etc.? I REALLY wish I had someone like Dr. Williams in the area. Clearly Atlas loves him and recognizes the relation to his visits and him feeling better.

ALWAYS good to hear from yo and yojr pack!

Much love to all,

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Now who do you think would be excited to see a dr huh?! Obviously he loves his sessions, what a handsome and good boy. Our Snoop does acupuncture also and loves it. Were fortunate that our Dr comes also to the house. I think it helps him a great deal which became apparent last week when Snoop overdid a bit. Keep going Atlas!

We are really pleased that acupuncture has helped give Atlas core strength and balance. Its the difference in him having good mobility or not.

Dr. Williams comes again tonight. I worry if he ever moved or anything. Part of why it works so well is that Atlas gets to relax in his own home. It is just so hard to find the right physical therapy that works for your specific needs with size and weight considerations on that front leg. While the hydrotherapy at the lake every week is good for now, we wont be going in the winter. And all of it seems to be exhausting for the big guy except for the acupuncture, it gives him energy.

He's is even better now than for the past couple years. Jumping like we haven't seen in ages. And his neck has tripled in size, just one huge long muscle. Loves his neck message from Dr. Williams and gives him kisses on his arm while he's doing it. It's so sweet, he's such a gentle giant.

Sally, we have just passed the 30 days after his last chemo and are about to start the holistic herb treatment of Dr. Xie in combination with his ongoing acupuncture.
We decided to try eastern 100% after completing the western "protocol" especially due to Atlas' great response to the first part (acupuncture). We are going to dedicate ourselves to a 90 day trial.
I am keeping him on the daily metacam 7.5 mg so far. Which he has been on for the past 6 months. I also printed out all the info on the power mushrooms and k9 I and gave it to Dr. Williams and he gave the green light on the power mushrooms so I'm now adding that to Atlas diet. 2 cups Merrick chicken & brown rice & peas kibble, 1 cup Merrick grain free can food - fed twice daily. fed as dessert or treats: various berries, melon, fruit and 1-11/2 cup yogurt. Also table scraps of whatever vegetables and fish and chicken we are eating. Except beef, Atlas is allergic. .supplements include fish oil (just ordered those Nature Made 1000 mg in each pill that Pam Tazzie mom mentioned.)
I know it seems a lot, but I measure very carefully and am very good about keeping Atlas fit so he has the best chance physically possible. Now, if I could only take such good care of my own dang self! laughing

Isn't that the truth!

I'm really interested in how Atlas does on the eastern protocol. I've mentioned before that quad pug old lady Tani has mast cell cancer (in addition to other stuff including arthritis) and we are going holistic with an Eastern Med bent to treat the cancer and I've added K9 immunity plus (with the vet's approval).

I love how excited Atlas gets to see the vet, and how much he enjoys the sessions. Oh- and quad pug Obie went into a barking frenzy when I played the video!  Obie is very mighty as long as the dog is virtual big-grin.
