Socks is doing great. I let her into the back yard yesterday and she trotted around like nothing happened. She does get tired easier, i have noticed. She will just stretch out in the grass and take a break. I never would of thought that she would come so far so quickly. I am very proud of her. I also want to thank everyone for their support through this rough period. i wish i could figure out how to post a pic.

Proud mama to Socks, a 7 year old greyhound. Became an amputee on 12/10/12. Once a racer, always a champion.

Wonderful update- our pups are so resilient!
We would love to see more pictures of your girl. Your pictures have to be hosted on-line somewhere- a Tripawd blog works, as does photobucket or others.
Here are Instructions for Adding Photos to Posts, hopefully that will help. If all else fails you can send them to Admin guy or Jerry and they can post them for you.
Looking forward to more pictures and great updates!

Hooray for a good update. It does take a little while to build their stamina up, so sounds like she is right where she ought to be inherent recovery.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
So glad to hear Socks is doing well. Just give it some time and Socks will slowly build up her strength and stamina. When I first took Cadence out for a walk, she pooped out pretty quickly and just sat there to rest up. Each time we took her out we went a bit further and 2 months later we can sometimes get up to 1 1/2 miles. Mind you, there are some breaks in between the walk, but she is so happy just to be out. Before you know it, you will have to be running to keep up with her. Keep us updated.
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.” ― Milan Kundera
That is wonderful to hear! You can't ask for a better Christmas present than a hoppy Tripawd. Thanks for the update. Let us know if you can't figure out how to post pics, we're hoppy to help.
