Hi Everyone,

We haven't posted for awhile so thought we would update everyone on our sweet Ada's progress. She is 2 months post amputation and will have her third round of chemo tomorrow. She is doing amazing. She is doing just as well on 3 legs as she did with 4! She is back to doing her zoomies and will run around the back yard as fast as she can - smiling all the way.

So far we have been very lucky with chemo. No side effects. Her platelet count drops but nothing that concerns the oncologist.

Ada is a favorite at the vets! We walk in and everyone is saying "Ada is here". She is also remains very committed to watching over her bff, our 13 year old golden, Bailey. He sometimes struggles, especially in the heat and humidity, and she is always by his side.

We celebrate every day we have with our special, truly loved fur kid!

Hoppy Ampurversary!  I am so happy to hear that Ada is doing so well.  Keep up the good work.

Back when I first joined this community whenever there were ampuversaries or other happy news we would all celebrate with extra treaties for everyone.  I think we ought to bring that tradition back.  So in Ada's honor my little Mr. Biscuit is going to get an extra treat today!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

We are definitely going to celebrate. Not only is it Ada's ampuversary, it is Bailey's 13th birthday.

Ada's chemo was cancelled because her white blood count is too low (so much for saying she has had no side effects). She will be on antibiotics and we will try again next week.

However, another reason to celebrate - her chest xray today shows no evidence of disease!!!!!! We are over the moon happy!!!
