Are you giving the Gabapentin & Rimadyl both at the same time? Or spacing them out? It's best to space them so that Chunk gets some sort of pain medication every couple of hours rather than all at one time.
When our Cassie was having trouble with arthritis & bulging discs in her back, she was having some hygiene issues. I would take a bucket of warm water & 2 wash cloths. I put a towel underneath her. On 1 wash cloth I would pour some mild puppy shampoo & I would wash wherever needed washed. The other I used to rinse with the water from the bucket, then I dried with the towel underneath her. It worked fairly well.

Hi gorgeous 🐾💗
So glad to hear how your lovely boy is progressing!
He is simply gorgeous, all that is missing in your thread is some pictures.
It looks like he is doing really well so far and once peeing resumes to normal he should be full on track.
Sending you a big hug and cuddles to your cutie 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
Still can't figure out how to post pictures from a phone. And yesterday I was proud momma he peed outside by himself and has been so proud of him the doc said to knock his gabapentin down to 1 every 12 hours and 1 rimadyl every 12 . The gabapentin makes him high and unable to focus or concentrate on what's hes doing so we did that and he has been awesome since hes walking good on his own an all so proud of him .

Still can't figure out how to post pictures from a phone...
Steps for adding photos to forum posts are the same for phone or desktop browsers. If you don't host pictures online anywhere, you can start a free Tripawds Blog anytime. Feel free to post in the Tech Support forum or send a PM and we can schedule a time to meet in the Live Chat. We'll have that open for a while now...
