Today is Tasha's 6 month ampuversary!! I can't believe it has been six months already. In a way it feels like it was just yesterday and yet it feels so long ago too. She is one tough pup and has done amazingly well with the loss of her front leg. I remember hearing the dreaded diagnosis of osteosarcoma, the treatment options and statistics. Everyone here was amazing...so supportive, caring and knowledgeable. Can't thank y'all enough!
Tomorrow we celebrate! Hugs and kisses to all the tripawds, new and old.
Kathy & Tasha
Tasha was a German ShepherdBorder Collie mix who was diagnosed with OSA at age 8. On December 29, 2011 she had her front right leg amputated and received 4 rounds of chemo. Sadly and suddenly Tasha became sick and we discovered she had liver cancer that had spread to her lung. After almost 19 months, Tasha earned her wings on July 17, 2013. No regrets and never forgotten.
Hooray Tasha! 6 months is a great milestone! Treats for everypawdy to celebrate Tasha's big day.
Hope you are enjoying every day with your lovely girl!
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Hip Hip Hooray! 6 months is incredible!!!
I hope it's okay if the monkeybutt monkeydog gets a special treat in Tasha's honor. (I'll whisper why to him)

charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
I also LOVE ampuversaries!! There is something so satisfying about looking back on the day of diagnosis and the feeling of doom that comes with it and then fast forwarding to celebrating an ampuversary!!
Tasha, you are beautiful and brave and you deserve loads of treats to celebrate the big day!!
Lisa and Zeus
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...
