Our dog, Bree, did well getting through a new immunotherapy vaccine trial recently. I can't discuss specifics publicly, but she finished 2 weeks ago.
We've had her in the UF trial as well, which is a GD3 vaccine (different from the new vaccine we just did). She is due for a 6 month booster. The UF folks are comfortable doing the booster next week, but have noted that there are no studies to see if the 2 vaccines will interact at all (they think it's unlikely).
She is month 17 post diagnosis. We know God has kept her alive, as I've shared many times that we pray a lot for her. We don't know what has worked medically, though. She started the UF vaccine over a year ago.
Does anyone have any thoughts about doing the booster next week? We could push it out about 6 weeks, but I don't know if that would matter for any potential interaction.
I'm thrilled that Bree is doing well! That's terrific news.
As for the GD3 vaccine booster, I would say that if the UF team is good with doing it, and Bree's medical team for the other vaccine is good with it, then why not?
Go Bree Go! You are kickin' some butt lady, that's wonderful!

Yep, both are good with it. Both have said they don't know of any interactions, but they don't think there will be any. Obviously at this point our decisions are a bit of, "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
I'm waiting to hear back from UF about their thoughts on waiting. Thanks for the encouragement as always!
I know ... you've got a point there.
Only your gut can tell you whether to go for it or not.
But you've got both team's views and they are of the opinion it should not be a problem.
From where I am standing, I can only thank you with all my heart for doing this for your baby and for all of us, the ones who lost the battle and the ones who are still fighting it.
If Angel Eurydice was here I would most definitely have gone for the trial.
Both trials, I don't know.
I would have had to have the option to then be able to follow my gut...
Hugs and cuddles 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
