Article from Dr Sue Ettinger on spay/neuter and links to some cancers. Quite interesting. Frustrating that so many rescues are spraying neutering even BEFORE six months, as well as after. Regardless, they REQUIRE you to do that at whatever age you adopt.
Article seems well balanced with pros and cons
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Thank you for sharing Sally! I meant to do that earlier when it came into my in box.
I was just talking to a veterinarian couple who didn't spay their male German Shepherd or Pug on purpose (yep, that's their fur family!) for the same reasons. And the funny thing is even through they are vets they still get grief about it from others.
There are times when I would love to get a breeder dog just to be able to make that decision on my own. But for now Wyatt Ray says "Don't even THINK about it Mom!"
